Fiberglass Composite SuperPile Specifications
Advantages of Composite Pilings
SuperPiles are designed to resist tensile, compressive, shear and compressive, shear and torsional stresses. Use of appropriate core materials can be used to increase compressive loads and to enhance the bending performance.
Driving and Installation SuperPiles are driven using industry standard driving equipment including diesel, vibratory and drop-end hammers can be used to install the composite piling. The piling can be driven either open ended or with a variety of driving shoes. A standard pipe pile driving helmet can be supplied upon request. The piles are easily cut, drilled and attached using ordinary tools found at most job sites. SuperPiles are designed to carry both bearing and lateral loads while providing significant impact absorbing capacity. SuperPiles have the compliance of timber, the strength of steel and the durability of plastic without being affected by electrolysis, temperature, marine rot or rust. SuperPile Specifications The five profiles are pultruded fiberglass composite with a hybridized polyurethane resin system with an E-glass reinforcement package. The resin contains superior UV inhibitors, in addition, the piles are shrouded with a polyester surfacing veil that provides 10 mils of superior UV protection against the sun's harmful rays. The extremely durable, light weight, high strength piles are the strongest, most cost-effective pultuded fiberglass piles in the marketplace.
